Hi all!

I'm looking for the ancestor's of my gg-granfather James Washington HARTZOG, otherwise known as "Jim" who was born in between either 1857-1861. The census'(1930 Dale County and 1920 Coffee County) that I found lists birth dates in that area. In addition, with looking on other family trees from posters, I have found that this J.W. might be the son of Francis Marion HARTZOG and Rebecca ZORN. I know that there was another James Washington who was born around 1830..could this be my gg-granfather's uncle that is listed in the tree? Could anyone verify this? Any help would be appreciated.

I do have one picture of James Washington and his wife, Sarah "Sallie" MILLER. J.W. was extremely tall! Any other "tall" traits out there?

Here is the information that I have so far:
-James Washington HARTZOG b. 1857/1861 d.unknown m. Sarah "Sallie" MILLER They are buried at Center Ridge Cemetery in Ozark, Alabama, Dale County I have pictures of their graves, but the slabs have been covered up by the new gravel over the plots!

J.W. and Sallie's children that I know of are:
- Lillian Rebecca Hartzog (my g-grandmother)
- James Aubrey Hartzog
- Louie A. Hartzog
- Robert Lee Hartzog

I also have headstone pictures of Lillian and James, who are also buried at Center Ridge Cemetery.

I'm willing to share info on these lines if anyone would like to share information. Thanks for all your help!
