First of all, Martha Hartzog, is not a child of Celia and George H. Hartzog. George died in 1837, and Martha was born in 1943. Celia married the second time to John Mitchell, and I suspect, Martha is their child. During the 1860 Barbour Co., AL Census, all of Celia and John's children are listed as Hartzog not Mitchell. Now, Martha was living with her stepbrother, James Hartzog during one of the census. I know that Martha used the last name, Hartzog, when she married William Blakey. Under what Patriot are you seeking induction to the SAR?
