Starting Sept. 30, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

From what we have been able to find, Martha Ann Hartzog Blakey was the daughter of George Henry Hartzog and his third wife Celia Baxley. According to Celia - George died 3 Aug 1837... and we have Martha being born in 1837 not 1843. (Where did you get the birth date of 1843?) Celia married John Mitchel (this is NOT John F. Mitchel) on 13 AUG 1843. Martha Ann never used the name Mitchel in any records we have located. It is believed that George H. died while Celia was pregnant with Martha.

Martha is not a problem.
This is our problem - We have no proof that George H. Hartzog was the son of Daniel and Susannah Zorn Hartzog.
I am working on the SAR through Henry Zorn(Sr.)

Could you send me, or identify a library that has a copy of your book so that I can request pages through ILL, I need the title page, and the pages with information on Daniel Charles Hartzog & Suzannah Zorn and George & Celia Hartzog.

Thanks,
John Phil McLaney, Jr.
