Hi Louis -

I am also (same as Carole Mobley) researching the FRY/KIME/HARTSOCK(Hartzog) families.

Was wondering where you obtained the given name for Christina's FRY husband (1st husband). I have been trying to match up 1830/1840 Census readings with the FRY families in Ohio and Indiana with out much success.

Also wondering where you obtained Christina's maiden surname of KIME. This is wonderful news - am excited to hear "someone" has her maiden surname! :o)

My husband is a descendant of John W. Hunt and Catherine (Fry) Hunt via their daughter Catherine (Hunt) Berkenbile.

Catherine (Fry) Hunt was the daughter of (Mary A.)Christina (_____) Fry Hardsock (Hartsock).

1850 US Census - Mary A. Hartsock
1856 Iowa Census - Christina Hartsock

If Christina is buried at Ridgedale Cemetery, Polk Co., IA., she is buried as CHRISTINA HARTZOG. Her birth year on the tombstone is 1806 and her death year is 1881. The 1806 year for her birth is also what I have gleaned from the two census readings I have for her. There should be Census readings from 1860, 1870 and 1880 also. Still looking for them.

Would love to be in contact with you. My email is: ticvic50 (at) Please write!
