I am researching my wifes line which decends fromElijahHarville and Mary Ellen Godby or Godsby of Lawrence Co. Ala.
I have found Sarah Ann Harvel in the 1870 census listed in Initials either living with or next to her son J.W. Harville age 22 at the time and wife listed as E. .E Harville with son J.F. Harville. It stated that S. A. Harville was born in Tenn. and so was her parents (smith family). She had other Children listed with herS.E. Harville age 17 and M. L. Harville age 10 who should be Luther orMartin Luther Harville both born in Ala.I also got info from my wifes uncle (both of their names were Harville) he was told that his Elijah's fathers name was Henry , but stated on Sarah's Death Certificate that his name was Frank? She was buried near Mt. Hope, Ala. Is there any reason why the Moulton advertiser had the obituary 20 days after the death of Elijah? Is it hard to get a back issue of the Advertiserfor 1890?Elijah had a son named James Patrick Harville which is my wifes gr-grandfather all of her family has lived in the Moulton area.E-mail me [email protected]
