This line has been a mystery to me for a long time.
I know they were involved in land transactions in the 1830s and 1840s but I have never found them on a census before 1860. Have you?
They appear at about the same time as Lemuel S. Harvell who buys land in Wilcox but is primarily found in Covington.
Lemuel's father appears to be named Joseph.
Anything else you have that might shed some light?
