Looking for information on James HARVELL/HARVILL born in NC abt 1783 (age 67) accordding to the 1850 Smith County TN census, he was living with David HARVELL b abt 1808 in NC(age 42). James was not listed in later census.
David was married to Mary Polly Maggart abt 1830. They raise at least 4 boys and 3 girls in Smith County TN
I believe that there were several James of that era, causing trouble finding the correct Father for James. And also looking for the Wife for James. Information on the birth Counties for David and James also needed.
Have found info linking David to being born in Surry, Cumberland, Wilkes Counties in NC. Part of the problem is that several brothers lived in NC and believed that David and James were very popular names of that time.
David is my Great Great Grand father.
