Bob,

Did you notice that in the 1850 census Edward Harvell age 30 born AL was in the HH of a Tillman family. Robertm listed as Head, age 28, Delilah age 50 born SC and Oner age 14, a female. Then Edward was listed as 30.

I've seen William, s/o John and Margaret as married to Oney Smith and then some say she was married to another William Harville, s/o Ishamael & Mary Hardaway Harville. Just wondering if the name Oner/Oney in the Tillman family has any connection to this son of John & Margaret's wife?

Do you have Miss Hopper's book on Samuel Harville? I have a copy of it. He is a descendant of John & Margaret of Cumberland Co. It is well documented from Samuel down as far as I can tell but like all of us some of the children's descendants escaped without being known.

Ann
