Hi Bob, please see my response to Ann about this will. Seems to be the correct one after all! But it very clearly says Patsy Cook. Do you know what evidence there is that her name was Mary? Patsy is a nickname for Martha. I'm mostly interested in the Womack connection here, and am trying to determine whether Mary Womack, dau of John & Sarah married David Harvill, William Rowland or someone else! According to Johnston Co Court records, when John Womack died he had minor children named as William, Mary, Jane, Martha and Lucey (July 1766 Court session). Could this Martha Womack have been David Harvill's wife? There was also an older son Benjamin Womack, who was of age at the time. In his will, he names "my brother-in-law William Roland" as executor. I'm trying to determine if William Rowland married Benjamin's sister, Mary (or did David Harvill) or did Benjamin Womack marry William Rowland's sister, Ann! There is no concrete evidence either way!

Any other suggestions as to where to look for clues about Mary/Martha and David Harvill? The citation for Patsy's will is correct: Will Book 4, p. 43 but it is actually on the next (un-numbered) page. Thanks for your help! If you want to contact me "off-list" my address is birls "at"
