Mark was 64 years of age when he married Mary Jordan on
Sept 28, 1878. The lengthy license information confirms that he was a son of Thomas and Barbary Harvell both of whom were deceased at that time.

I believe but have not proved that this is Thomas and Barbary Hunnicutt who married in Wake County 12/16/1805.
Corbell Woodward and Augustus Turner were the bondsmen.

I also believe this is the Thomas who was in Moore County in 1810,1820 and 1830.

In 1840 Thomas and Mark are both in Montgomery County. In 1850 Thomas and Barbary are in Stanley which was formed from Montgomery. Mark and Lavina are in Montgomery with children John, Mark and Lewis at home
and nearby James probably a 4th son.

In 1860 Mark and Lavina have no children at home.
