Roger Harvell:
Thanks for the excellent material you sent on the ancestry of Esther Harvell. I've entered it in my database.
I continue to seek information on the ancestry of Jacob Brown, husband of Hannah Harvell Emerson who was a daughter of Esther Harvell. Jacob Brown d 1864 was a gggrandfather to me. Altho I have almost 21,000 relatives in my database, Jacob Brown is my earliest Brown ancestor. Brown is a very difficult surname to search. Jacob and Hannah lived in Manchester, NH, or possibly in North Londonderry, NH. Jacob is recorded as having established the first textile plant in the Manchester area which was located in "the old Harvey district" on or near the site of the present Manchester airport. He and Hannah are buried in the Merrill Cemetery (now in the Manchester Cemetery Department).
