I found the following information on the USGENWEB Archives search page. Don't know if anyone has this or not but there is a Divorce suit against John Harvell.

This comes from the Kennebec County, Maine Court Index, 1799 - 1854.

Plt/Def: Def.
Location: Madison
Case #: 1299
Mon/Yr: June 1807
Vol/pg: 2-536
Box/file: 137-77
Cause: Divorce

The same information appears for MEHITABLE HARVELL who is shown as Plt. (except vol/pg is "not recorded" and the box/file is shown as 46-45.

Then in 1813 the suit is repeated with this information:
Plt/Dft: Def.
Location: Readfield
Case #: 3813
Mon/Yr: June 1813
Vol/pg: Not Recorded
Box/file: 46-45
Cause: Divorce

Again, the same information appears for MEHITABLE HARVELL who is shown as th Plt. (rest is same as John's).

There are also two cases involving Joseph Harvell and John Harvell (which can't be the older John because he died in 1821 in Amherst).

Plt/Def: Plt.
Locaton: Madison
Case #: 4417
Mon/yr: June 1818
Vol/pg: 2-84
Box/file: 55-11
Cause: Ejectment (didn't think to run a word search on case # 4417, might find out the def. was)
*this is following by an exact duplicate listing (same date, with a different case # - 4418)

Plt/def: Def.
Location: Solon (which I notice is a bit north of Madison)
Case # 6833
Mon/yr: May 1837
Vol/pg: 9-66
Box/file: 93-17
Cause: Debt (again a word serch on 6833, may tell who the plt. was).

Two other pieces that probably relate somehow... the first is a Cemetary listing of BEAN'S CORNER CEMETARY located near Jay, Maine at the junction of US 2 and SR 156.

RODNEY HARVELL died 24 Mar 1844, age 38 years

EUNICE HARVELL died 15 Sept 1877, wife of Calvin Pease and former wife of Rodney Harvell, age 77 years (Calvin Pease is also buried in the Harvell lot).

Children of Rodney and Eunice Harvell:
JOSHUA B. HARVELL died 29 July 1851, age 23 years
GEORGE F.R. HARVELL died 13 July 1848, age 5yr 8mon

The other tidbit was found in "Sangerville Marriages" (which is northeast of Madison in Piscataquis County. It came from the Maine Genealogist, Feb 2001, pg 9-11, and was a report by Bill Principe of La Canada, CA who wrote an article on the "out-of-line: the transcribed Sangerville, Maine Marriage Records (also see Maine Genealogist (also see pg 81-82).

MISS REBEKAH HARVELL to DR. JEREMIAH LEACH (both of Sangerville) on Nov 12, 1826 by 1. MACOMBER, J.P. which is listed under "Sprague's Journal of Maine History".

I think John's 2nd marriage and divorce is of particular interest! Forgive me, I have to say this... "perhaps Mehitable couldn't take "living with God, any longer." (lol).
