Harriet HARVEY daughter of David Harvey and Sarah Dakin (b 1834 in OH died Sept. 19, 1879 and is buried in the Roberts cemetery, in IL).m. 16 Sept, 1856 (according to Paxton Record, 25 Sept 1879) in Bureau Co, Ill toJoseph HURST, son of Joseph Hurst and Mary Bowers.He was born July 8, 1834 in Turton, near Bolton, Lancashire, England, and died April 3, 1914, in Longwood, Cook Co., IL and was buried in Roberts, Ford Co., IL.Joseph married (2) Ann (or Anna) HARVEY, cousin of Harriet, in Loda, Illinois, 8 Sept, 1880

Mary b. Nov. 19, 1857 at Malden Ill.m. Jan 25, 1877 John TALBOT (b. June 28, 1851, Preston, Eng, d. Feb 19, 1915)lived near Roberts, had 6 children, d. Mar. 30, 1931.Children: Thomas, Joseph Hurst, Warren, Walter John, Mary Helen, Elmer Ralph.(Have more information on them)
Frank b. c1859 a butcher in Wessington SD m. Minnie, Had 2 children, Gordon, who married Juanita and had two children, Louise Elisabeth, b. May 6, 1927, and George Gordon, b. Feb. 23, 1935,and Hazel who married Harold Klug, and had one daughter, Frances.Frank was in Tingley, Iowa in 1908 and died sometime before his father's death in July 1914.
Adelaide (Addie) Sarah b. August 12, 1861 in Roberts.m. Thomas Walter WAKELIN October 12, 1881, lived in Roberts, and died June 4, 1918 in Los Angeles, CA.Had six children.This is my line.
Isabel b. c1866 m. Isaac Healer 18 Mar. 1880, Ford Co. Illinois (IGI), lived in Leavenworth Ks.According to Joseph Hurst's obituary, she was alive July 1914, in Kansas City, Mo.but the probate court in September, 1917 gives her children as heirs of Joseph Hurst, indication that she had died before then.Her children were Isaac, Anna (m. Cabiro or Cabrie bef. 1917) Hattie (m. LaBlanc between 1917 and 1925), William Joseph, Ethel (m. Williams bef. 1917)
Warren b. c1866 in IL ran a hotel, one daughter, Bessie who married Mr Goethal.Warren was in Huron SD in 1914 and in 1925.
Joseph b. c1868 in Ill. was a railroad man at Bessemer, AL had 2 children.We have a family photo from Bessemer with three girls.Joseph was in Jacksonville, Fl. 1914 and in Bessemer in 1925
Harvey b. c1871 in Ill. Married Lillie, lived on a farm in Dix, Ill had 3 children.Was in Ogle NM in 1908 andinDix, IL in 1914 and 1925.Was alive in 1946.
George (Dick) b. c1873 in Ill. lived in Minot SD, had 1 girl.Died before 1914.Maude May Hurst in 1917 and living in St. Lawrence, SD in 1925 is probably his daughter
Harriet (Hattie) b. August 19, 1874 m. Harvey DILLON in Roberts. Dec. 28, 1897.Left Roberts at an early age, had 2 children, Oliver and Genevieve, lived in Estherville, Iowa, in 1908.She and Genevieve moved back to Roberts in 1946. Died May 16, 1955 in Ford co. Nursing home Ford Co. Ill
Helen b. Aug. 20, 1876.Lived with her Aunt, Mrs. Hannah Hurst Talbot for a year after her mother's death, was not listed with her father in the 1880 census.Went to California c1906, was a teacher in CA.Caught typhoid while serving as a nurse on Catalina Island.It developed into tuberculosis she returned to Roberts and died Feb. 9, 1908 of consumption in the home of her sister, Mary Talbot.Helen was the first of the children to die.Never married.
