Steve, in another part of this paper from my Uncle, he has down that when James hasbrouck Nicholson was 20 years old his father (Nicholas Nicholson) moved to Allegheny County, Leaving James and a cousin to rent and cultivate the farm, when James was 24 a fire destryoed the farmhouse, and James lived there for a few months after that and then moved to Allegheny County and bought his own farm, which would have been in 1832, and then in 1839 James moved to Illinois. It says that james and his brother Edward were both in the lumbering business in New York, but it does not say exactly where. Thanks Mary
