I recently had a breakthrough on my brick wall. I've been tracking this family with the current spelling of HASLE and recently stumbled across HASLEY in the 1920 Census that connected to my family. Email me if you have any information that connects with this.
Fred HASLE(Y), b. ca. 1841, Baden; died abt. 1880, Clark County, Missouri.
Margaret PETERS, b. ca 1847, Bohemia, died abt. 1880, Clark County, Missouri.
In the 1880 Census, their children Joseph, Lewis, Henry, and Mathew were living with Margaret's brother John PETERS and wife after their deaths. The boys were living in Clark County, Missouri. They had a sister, but unsure if she was living at this time.
Joseph HASLE(Y), b. abt. 1867, Missouri. In 1920 living in Merritt Township, Beckham County, Oklahoma. (widow) His is living next to an Anna HASLEY, age 44, who is divorced, and her daughter Margie HASLEY. I think there is a connection, but I'm not sure what it is.
Lewis HASLE(Y), b. abt. 1869, Missouri. In 1920 living in Cleveland County, Oklahoma. (single)
Henry HASLE(Y), b. abt. 1871, Missouri. In 1920 living in Willow Bar Township, Cimarron County, Oklahoma. (Widow) He was living as a border with the Pearl BURROW family in 1920. I've found some information that indicates Henry may have married a woman named Bertha GREGORY and had children named Joseph, Lillie and Walter, but I have been unable to confirm this as fact.
Mathew HASLE, b. 1876, Missouri. Moved with his brothers to Oklahoma, then moved to Minnesota. Married then moved to Canada, then to Montana, then moved back to Minnesota where he died.
Hopefully someone can make a connection with this information.
