My ggg grandfather, John West Haswell was a cabinet maker in Baltimore, MD. He married Elizabeth Medlicote 7 Sep 1807, First Meth Epis Church, Baltimore. John & Elizabeth had 4 children: Rebecca, Susan, Elizabeth, & John West Haswell, Jr. After Elizabeth's death, John married Ann Powell 24 Feb 1833, same Baltimore church. Shortly after his second marriage, John & Ann moved to Louisville, KY. John died there on 17 Feb 1839; his widow Ann Haswell joined the Shaker Community in Pleasant Hill, KY and died there 14 May 1862. Does anyone connect the Haswells of Maryland? As far as I know, they are not connected to the New England or NY Haswells but may connect to Ohio & KY Haswells.
