Through my research I have found that Germany has two major Hauschild families the Hauschild's and the Hauschild(t)s. The Hauschildt's are predominately from the northern parts of Germany (greater Hamburg area) an the Hauschild's are from the Chemnitz area.
My g-grandfather came to Chicago in 1889 or so. He had several brothers and at least one sister, but I only know the names of Julius, Rudolf, and Gottieb. All family members lost touch and I'm trying to piece the family back together. Does any of this information match yours? If so please email me at
