I'm trying to find out if my great, great grandmother (Emily Sophia Billmeyer Middleton) is the daughter of Mary Hause. Mary Hause was born 1814 and died 1850 - she was wife of Henry Daggett.
Mary Hause's parents were Abraham Hause (1790-1861) and Mary Keely (179401849) Abraham Hause's parents were John Hause (1733- 1808) and Mary G. Hause. John Hause was a private in the philadelphia County militia and a lieutenant in Col. THomas Hockley's regiment, Chester County Pennsylvania militia. He was born and died in Chester COunty Pa.
Anyway . . . Emily Middleton's father was John Billmeyer (about 1811 in Milton PA) We have no information about Emily's mother. I think Emily was born out of wedlock and that Mary Hause may be her mother. I have a photograph that was shared with me. It has a picture of Martha Matilda Daggett on it. On the back- it says "sister of Emily." We think Emily was born out of wedlock - then Mary Hause was married to James Brass who was Martha Matilda Daggett's father.
I found Martha Matilda Daggett's family history on an resource listing from the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
Please help me if you have any information about Martha Matilda Brass Daggett, her parents or siblings.
Thank you
