Paul, I know your frustration. I have tried to find more info on the Hause/Hawes line in Rockingham Co., also. I have information that says Peter's parents were Peter Hause and Barbara Lancisco and her line goes on back to Switzerland. Spelling and names changing cause most of the problems. And of course, there are those who want to change there name and not be found. They simply didn't know how much trouble they were going to cause us, did they? The interesting thing is that the other side of my family also came west from Rockingham Co., but they have been easier to trace. I live in OH in the county next to Ross where they all settled so it has been easier to find the local information. Peter and Eva Shobe's son Jacob (my direct line) is buried in Ross Co. in the Austin-Strader Hill cemetery. Good luck. If I find anything more I'll post it. Cora
