Grace,
I don't have a whole lot on this family, but I have some.Nicholas Cerenus Harp and Amelia Hauver I only have m. 1849 in McHenry co. Illinois. He was born 3-17-1826 in Orange, NY d. 4-13-1868 in McHenry, Illinois. She was born 1831 Jefferson co., NY she died 3-21-1918 in Spokane Wa.Which is the county I live in so I've checked and she is buried at Riverside cem. but no headstone was set for her. (sad)And her parents were John Hauver and Catherine () from NY or PA.
Nicholas was 1 of 7 children of Michael jr. Harp (b.2-4-1784 Orange, NY) and Nancy Wilcox (b.2-6-1791 d. 1840 Orange, NY)
Michael sr. Harp was an inlisted soldier of the Revolutionary War 1776.He m. Elizabeth Hohlenbek on 3-31-1771 at the Luthern Trinity Stone Arabia Church @ Albany NY.I have no other children besides Michael jr. listed. My records are mostly from the family bible.I haven't researched this family much in the past few months, alittle rusty.I would appreciate any input you may have or find in the future. Please reply [email protected] you and good luck.Correen
