William Hawke was the son of John Hawke & Fanny (Hawken) and was my gr grandfathers brother. He did not appear in the 1871 Census because I believe he had gone to Pen Argyl PA USA to work in the slate quarries there. Ann Maria and family, but not Edwin, joined him in Pen Argyl and the family are in the 1880 & 1890 Census for Bangar Northampton County PA.I have details from the 1851 & 1861 UK Census & 1880/90 Census for William and similar for Ann Maria.I have made contact with descendants who still live in Bangor.I can provide all the information separarely if this is the area of your interest.
I have made an extensive research of my Hawke family tree - hopefully this will also be of interest.
Hope to hear from you about your exact needs and I will try to help.
Les Hawke
