Hi! I wouldn't discount that our families maybe related. Hans was born about 1800, so Margaret maybe a sister or cousin to Margaret. Do you have any idea where in Ireland Margaret was from? It appears that most Hawthornes were from Down and Antrim. Do you know who Margaret's father was? Hans's father was John. I am researching several Hawthornes in an attempt to find family of Hans. Was she Presbytarian? The Hawthornes I'm researching were all Presbytarian. My email is and if you will send me yours, I can email you if I find information on your Margaret in my searches.
