I am looking for information on my greatgrandmother's family. Her maiden name was Isabelle Alice Hayes. She was born in 1922. Siblings are Lonnie (ca 1914), Essie Mae (1916), Henry Eugene (1918-1981), Roy (ca 1924), Ernest C (b 1925, died in WWII), Estelle (ca 1928) and Dorothy. Parents were Thomas James (name may be reversed-censuses had Thomas and Thomas J, Ernest's WWII death record has father James T) & Minnie Hayes.
The 1920 and 1930 census have the family living in Cook County, GA. The 1920 census has their names as Hays.
According to my mother, Minnie died when my greatgrandmother was young and the children were split up. She and one of her brothers stayed with their father. Since Minnie was in the 1930 census, her death would have to be after that point.
If anyone knows anything about this family, I'd greatly appreciate some help. Thanks.
