You would be 3rd cousins with my husband John, though somewhat younger. As you know, Dennis's sons include Charles and Walter John. You descend from charles, my husband from Walter John. Walter's son was Alfred who emigrated to Ontario around 1905 with 4 children including my husband's father Ronald who was just a toddler. The eldest child, Barbara stayed in Ontario and had children, but with whom we have not kept in touch. The next 2 daughters Marjorie and Gwen went to California as well as their dad, Alfred. Ronald stayed in Toronto. I suspect that 'Uncle Bill' was William, a child of Frederick Henry, who was a brother to Alfred and who also came to Onrario, who would be a 2nd cousin of your father.
