Hello, Sheila!
Elizabeth Haytree, nee Hunt(b.1772, Aston Cantlow, Warwicks.), wife of Giles Haytree, was an older sister of my 2Ggrandfather, Isaac Hunt (b.1784, Aston Cantlow). Giles and Elizabeth married in Haselor, Warwicks. on 15 July 1793.
This couple appear to have lived for some time after their marriage in the hamlet of Shelfield (Burford Lane) in the parish of Aston Cantlow.
In the early 1800s a number of Haytree deaths are recorded in the register of the adjacent parish of OLDBERROW (then in Worcestershire):
1817William Haytreeaged 22, bur. May 27
1817George Haytreeaged2, bur. Sept 2
1817JacobHaytreeaged 5, bur. Oct. 30
1819Eliz.Haytreeaged 13, bur. Sept 1
1820GilesHaytreeaged 60, bur Feb. 6
...also baptisms:
1800Thomas, s. of Giles & Eliz., b. Jan 8, bapt. Jan. 30
1801Mary, d of Giles & Eliz., b Mar 15, bapt Mar. 22
1802Benj. s. of Giles & Eliz., b. Dec 11, bapt. Jan 2 1803
1805James & Peter, sons of Giles & Eliz. b. Feb. 20,
baptised the same day (possibly an 'emergency'
baptism, if one or other child was sickly and not
expected to live.)
1808Robert, s. of Giles & Eliz. b.---?, bapt. July 31
1810Isaac*, s. ofGiles & Eliz., b. ---?, bapt. May 20
- poss. named for Eliz.'s younger brother, mentioned
above(?)
1812Jacob (another name from the Hunt family), b. June 1,
bapt. June 21
Other entries:
1794William, s. of Giles & Eliz. HAITORY, bur. Aug. 16
1796John, s. of Giles & Eliz. OTREY, bur. Feb. 9
1797Lucy, d. of Giles & Eliz. Haytree, bur. Dec. 24
1800'Buried Wm. Haytree, Jan. 8'
No ages given with the above, but giving parents' names often seems to have indicated that the child was quite young.
We found these while researching Hunt and other family links in Aston Cantlow, Wootton Wawen and Oldberrow at Warwicks. RO in August.
Hope this will add to the information you have already.
Regards
Geoff Powers
