OK!Thanks, now maybe I can get the connection with our Barnes!
Andrew Hazelton b. 1862, son of Henry and Rebecca, was living with my ancestors, Andrew and Henrietta (Stites) Barnes in 1880 (as nephew).[Henrietta is sister to Amos Bonker's wife, Phebe]
I found Lydia's father's name, but not her mother's last name (Henry age 54, Rebecca & two chldren are in Andover, Sussex Co., NJ in 1880).Apparently, Rebecca is my Andrew Barnes' sister.
Andrew Barnes' parents are Theodore and Harriet (Dobbins) Barnes. They are on the 1840 census, 2 children, one male and one female, both under 5.I have a photograph, labelled "Louise Barnes, Andrew's sister" - any chance that Rebecca and Louise are one and the same?Andrew's as far back as we've gotten on that line.
Do you know anything more about Rebecca Barnes Hazelton?Do you know where they are buried?
[Also saw on 1880 Census: Andover, Sussex Co., NJ also shows Frank (12) and Flora (10) Hazelton living with John Slockber as "other" - I haven't figured out a link yet.]
