Enoch Heal, born 19 Jan. 1790 and died 9 Oct. 1871, aged 81 yrs., was the son of Corporan John Heal, a Revolutionary War Veteran, and his first wife, Elizabeth Hinckley.Enoch is buried in the Hope Village Cemetery, in Hope, Me.He married in Camden, Me. on 3 June 1820 by Lemuel Rich to Harriet Harrington of Camden, Me.She was born 18 Feb. 1797 and died 8 Nov. 1843, aged 45 yrs. 8 mos. and 20 days.I wondered if she were the daughter of David and Betsey Harrington of Camden, Me.The children of Enoch and Harriet were:Ephraim Heal, born circa 1822, died 27 Dec. 1900, aged 78 yrs., who married in Oct. 1845 to Sarah Bartlett; Enoch H. Heal, born 16 Sept. 1823 in Hope, Me, who married Malvina Mosman; Mary Elizabeth Heal, born 25 July 1827 and died 4 Feb. 1859, aged 32 yrs. 6 mo. and 9 days; Harriet M. Heal, born circa 1828; died 11 July 1915 in New Castle, Me., aged 86 yrs. 11 mo.; Harriet was married on23 Dec. 1855 to James W. Wood.Harriet and James Wood were in Salem, Mass. in 1910; Charles Heal, born circa 1830, no more info on Charles; Eliza J. Heal, born circa 1833; died 27 June 1861, aged 27 yrs., married 3 Jan. 1856 to William Rankin at Rockland, Me.; Adelia K. Heal borncirca 1836, married 30 Sept. 1865 to Ephraim M. Thomas; Isaac D. Heal born 10 May 1838; died 24 Jan. 1910, married in March 1870 to Susan M. Wentworth; Josiah Winslow Heal, born circa 1841, married to Emma M. Merry; and Enoch L. Heal, born circa 1850;He was called Alfonzo E. Heal, aged 10 yrs. in the 1860 census, and Alphonso Heal, who was in Lynn, Mass. in 1910, and there was an Enoch Alphonso Heal.In the 1920 Census, an Alphonso E. Heal, aged 68, born in Maine, was at 93 Ray St., in Swampscot, Mass., with wife, Ada B., aged 66, Eugene A., son, aged 36, born Mass., Lillian, daughter-in-law, aged 27, born Canada, Lewis Gordon, aged 71, brother-in-law, and Rustus, aged 73, born Maine, also brother-in-law.The information was taken from the Heal/Heald Genealogical Workbook, done by me, Isabel Morse Maresh, in 1988.I neglected in the early days to quote my sources, but these came from Hope, Me. census and cemetery records, Maine Vital Records, 1920 Soundex Census records of Mass., Camden, Me. records and perhaps other records.Hope this helps some.God bless.
