Kevin, Just had a second thought. I know from my research there are Healises in Rhode Island. One of the names I remember is Herbert. I would love to know what the connection is there. Is this your family? It's possible the connection may go back before my ggrandfather. According to my mother's cousin, there were seven generations of Healises in Barbadoes. Most of them were doctors. (When my ancestor came to Phila. he became a printer.) We thought perhaps the "heal" is Healis came from the doctor thing. Are (were) your relatives Episcopalian? If so, St. Michael's church in Barbadoes has Healis birth records.
P.S. Don't worry too much about running out of room. The text box expands.
