Hi again, Alma
Just fyi, the Healises in California, Arizona, etc., are our branch. Ours started in Philadelphia, then New Jersey and then mostly westward. There's a branch in FL too.

There are thousands and thousands of Healis descendants; the families were so large in those days. One of my mother's aunts, for instance, had nine children (I'm not looking at my files right now) and many of them had large families. My mother's grandparents had nine. Sometimes I marvel at how many Healises (though not all in name)sprang from just my great grandparents. Through this website, I became acquainted with a second cousin in CA and know they have small family reunions out there.

I knew the info was wrong since I have 1860 as a birthdate for Eliza Jane and 1852 for Edward and thought that was just a tad young to have a child in 1869!

When I have time, I'm going to double check the source of the Herbert "E" information. You don't suppose there was another one born in 1869 in Cottage City, Duke, Mass. do you? I think I did find census information on Eliza Jane, too.
