I wish I had more information to give you but I am just starting my search on my Fischer family. All I know is my great grandmother, Maggie Fischer Walker, her sister, Elizabeth married a Louis Klaer in 1891 in Evansville, Indiana. Louis was a baker listed on the directory for years 1888-1890 in Evansville, Indiana among several other Klaers. You may want to check out Ancestry.com That is where I found out Louis' occupation and where he was living.
