My name is Doug Hotalen and my GGrandmother was Caroline Elizabeth Heater Hotalen. She is the daughter of IRA W. Heater. He was a widower and had remarried to Margaret? In the first marriage the children in the 1980 census were:

Caroline Elizabeth Heater 1866
George H. Heater 1870
Ella heater 1872
Victor Vanwhy 1875
John Gould 1877
Mary H. Gould 1879

Second marriage to Margaret?:

John H. Heater 1878
Sadie J Heater Jagger 1883
Allie M. Heater 1888
Iris L. Heater 1890
Also there was a Daniel bensley living in the house born 1812.

I did know Sadie J Heater Heater Jagger. Of course she was half sisters to Caroline Elizabeth Heater Hotalen. She lived in Pike Co., PA (Dingmans Ferry). Caroline Elizabeth lived in Dingmans, then married James Bennett Hotalen and lived in Milford PA and she died in New Jersey down near Trenton living with her daughter Evelyn Hotalen Bodine.

I need to find out who Ira W. Heater's wives were. I have an aunt who says he married two sisters (into the same family twice) over time.

Ira Heater moved from PA to NJ when he got older and lived with Margaret and his son John H. Heater. I belive the census indicated Sandyston, NJ.

Can anyone help me. Thanks in advance.

Doug Hotalen
