Dear Cousin,
I have been sitting here for the past hour, too emotional to reply. I posted my message but not really expecting a reply, certainly not a reply with so much depth. I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Yes I am doing our family tree. I am from the Rarotonga branch. My father, when he was alive always encouraged me to be proud of where I come from and to learn from it. Several of my elders gave me the incentive to do this, my fathers brother has written our Rarotongan tree and I am doing our European side, (eight trees, a big task).I have started drafts which I have aptly named "Transplanting the Heathers" and "Dennett Herser Heather and the Barque Mary" plus gathering info for the connecting branches to construct the tree. There's a long way to go yet, but getting there and discovering info along the way is half the joy. I will ring Bruce later today.
My e-mail is:- [email protected]
My name is Louisa Papehia Wichman, I also answer to the name of Louisa Stanley Heather, when I'm around the Heather clan.
Please keep in touch and if you wish, let me know your contact e-mail, so I can forward interesting finds. Would like to have info on your branch to insert onto the tree, if that is O.K. with you.
Glad we have made contact, God bless,
Love Louisa
