Heathers in Tasmania
I am trying to locate information on James Heather who was transported to Port Arthur around 1842(information below).I can't find any info on him in the convict indexes, yet my mother gave me a hand copied version of his prison record, a few years ago. After his release, it would appear that he took up residence in the Cockle Creek/Recherche Bay area, which is quite some way south of Hobart.Any information would be appreciated.
