Do you have the reference to a ship passenger list that stated the HEDGPETH spelling of the name...lost to my memory I am afraid...however it was listed in a book of ship passengers in mid 16oo's...seems like I remember they landed in Virginia...could have been around Jamestown time. This would put the spelling Hedgpeth in America very early, if I could get the reference. I am not sure about the Hudspeth connection...
