Hi David, I am Albert Newton's greatgrand daughter Pennie (Hedgpeth) Hofmann. My father is Newton Jay Hedgpeth, oldest son of Matt McDowell Hedgpeth. We live in Phoenix AZ. My father raises wolves in Show Low, AZ. I have much recent info about the Hedgpeths in Arizona. Also photos of Julia, Matt, Pearl, Ida and Albert together in about the late 1800s to early 1900s. Please feel free to email me! Check out the Hedgpeth Hills at the Deer Valley Rock Art Center, Phoenix,Arizona. This was Homesteaded by Albert his brother Matt Marshall and Albert son Matt McDowell. All 480 arces have been lost to the state of Arizona and we have not completely figured out how the state got control of it. Albert, Matt Marshall and Matt McDowell each had 160 acres. Now it has become an ASU project with Indian Petrogliffs and rock art all over the mountains they owned.
