Mr. Dick I. Kluckman, age 90 of Markesan passed away on Thursday August 11, 2005 at Berlin Memorial Hospital. Dick was born in Markesan on June 16, 1915 the son of Alex and Laura HEIDEL Kluckman. On Nov. 15, 1941 he married Gladys Lenz in Markesan. Dick was a member of the Markesan United Methodist Church. Dick had worked at the Shaler Company in Waupun and the Markesan School District. Survivors include his wife Gladys, 1 brother Gale (Leone) Kluckman of Fond du Lac, 1 sister-in-law Esther Schulz, 1 brother-in-law Elery Marquardt both of Markesan. Dick was preceded in death by his parents and a twin sister Laura.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday Aug. 15, 2005 at the Wachholz Family Funeral Home in Markesan with Rev. Tom Moe officiating. Burial will be in the Salemville Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the services.

It was that Dick's father's half sister has been believed to be Amanda Heidel Tessmer Kluckman Bender of Markesan. The Heidel being believed a cousin to Laura Heidel Kluckman, or Dick's mother, who lived near Manchester (very near Tessmers, maybe even neighbors) about the time Amanda was born.
