It has been shared with me that William's, or Bill's, grandfather was Albert Heidel once of Gooding, ID per the 1930 US Census. Establishing a vague trail for Albert Heidel has been so far intriguing. He appears to be found in the 1911 Canadian Census in the area of Medicine Hat, Alberta. More definitely, a WWI Draft Registration appearing to match this Albert Heidel can be found from Milwaukee from about 1918. Per this draft registration he recorded his closet relative to have been Henry Heidel living in Cleveland, Ohio. Now Henry has previously appeared to me to have had a brother, William, who has also been known to have gone to Canada, by all appearances by 1920, since he cannot be found in the US Censuses after 1910. So would it be that the "source" of Heidels now found in the area of Medcine Hat, Alberta have been those of William Heidel, gr-uncle to Bill Heidel of Boise, ID?
