I have exchanged e-mails with a member of the Brandon (Wisconsin) Historical Society. Check the map and you will find that Brandon is a town east of Markesan, Wis in Fond du Lac County. She has told me of Alex and Laura (Heidel) Kluckman. Let me share your post with her.

Understand that I have yet to establish an absolute connection to the Heidels that still reside in the Green Lake, Wis area. However, my great grandfather (Frank Heidel) had one sister about 12 years younger (my great, great aunt Minnie Heidel) who married in Markesan in 1874 before relocating to Fairmont, Minnesota. My primary objective here is to possibly learn where my great, great grandfather (Christian Heidel per my record) is buried. My great, great grandmother Marie Schulz Heidel died in 1904 and is buried in Fairmont as is my great grandfather. My father and grandfather were born in and near Mankato, MN (Blue Earth County).
