Has the whereabouts for John Leonard in this family gone unknown? A John Heidel recorded to have been born in Kansas can be found in the 1920 US Census living in the Idaho Precinct of Deep Creek (Enumeration District 241) on sheet 5B having a son, Earl, born 1909 in Kansas and a child or two born in Kansas after 1910. It would appear that this John Heidel household should be found in Kansas in the 1910 Census somewhere then. However, they were not discovered by cursory glance in Garden City in 1910 as was a 'Leonard Heidel' found in 1900 living in the household of George Heidel in Garden City. Of course, nothing here substantiates that John Leonard went to Idaho, but it does not refute it either, which makes it a viable curiosity to me.
