M. D. HEIDELBERG and HARRIETT MATILDA RALEY
Posted by: GLORIA RALEY BARAGONA (ID *****0081) Date: September 09, 2006 at 00:47:29

I have a copy of my gggf's (Benjamin M. Raley) Indian Wars Pension application. In the app, he mentions some of his siblings. He stated, "I have one sister Harriett Matilda Heidelberg who lives in Limestone County, Texas. I have not seen her in over thirty years." The pension app was prepared in 1891.

Ben's (born 1818) and Harriett's (born abt. 1826) siblings were: Charles William (born abt. 1815); Nathaniel Green (born bet. 1820-1825); Henry D. (born abt. 1829); William Columbus (born abt. 1835); and Wilson Lumpkin (born abt. 1836). There is a evidence of another sister, Elizabeth who was born about 1825, but she may have been a cousin of these Raleys.

I would like to make contact with the descendants of M.D. and Harriett Heidelberg. In June, several of us Raley cousins who had discovered each other through our research had our first reunion. Our next reunion will be July 7, 2007 in Ebro, Washington County, Florida. We would like for Harriett Matilda Raley's decendants to come to the reunion. You may contact me for more details.
