Hello!! I, too, am researching the Heidelbergs in MS. We went to MS in July of 2000, for the Buxton Family Reunion, and I had missed seeing my great aunt Leatha, who was at the Heidelberg Family Reunion, a few days earlier.

My great aunt Leatha Buxton (who just recently passed away)was married to Risher Heidelberg. They had 2 children.

I am in the the process of trying to find out the names of slaves the Heidelbergs owned.

FYI: Most Heidelbergs, I have met, have light complexions and greenish or light brown eyes, and are very attractive.

Please respond, I am looking forward to hearing from you.

Dee
