Ambrose and Kate Heidelberger were my Great, Great Grandparents. It seems ytour lineage is from Ambrose Jr. And, I have recently met a descendant of that branch. His name is Tom Heidelberg from Colorado. His address is 11138 Lebanon rd. #25 Cortez, Col.....not sure of the zip. He`s an interesting guy who would definately be interested in speaking with you.

They came from Germany (Baden) and came to Portsmouth, Ohio with what was, I think, a prearranged Job in the early stages of industraliztion......i.e., he worked in the steel industry. They moved to Cincinnati, Ohio and some began to settle across the river in Newport where I was raise until we moved further south when I was 8 years old (1954). One branch moved to the Detroit, Mich. area where, I believe, Raymond on your list is from. Another branch, Anton, I think, moved to the southwest in the Oklahoma/Texas area. My Grandfather was Adam and a brother to Anton and Ambrose.

Eva is an oft repeated name in our tree. One is reported to have visited family in Germany many years ago.

I started doing a little research when my first child was born in 1979 because I realized I knew so little about our family tree. I have a bunch of birth and death certificates somewhere at home and would be happy to share what I know with you. You can find the family listed in the city directories of Cincinnati in the late 1950`s and same in Portsmouth, Ohio.

So, where are you from and what is your story, Cuz?

Ken Heidelberg
