Hi Jennifer...
Working on the Heidemann family, who were
kind enough to provide Anna H. married to
Hermann Meesmann, in St. Louis, and gave me
my wonderful grandmother, Anna Elize H.,
wife of John H. Thies.
Got to watch those Dutch. His name has
only 1 n, not two.We German types are most
picky about spellings.Unlikely he is
family, as most Germans in 1800's fled to US
for jobs and food.
Are you familiar with the IGI as
published by the LDS church?Have you done
any library research?Your quest may be most
difficult because of the loss of records, but
I'llbe glad to be of help.Fortunately, I
have access to a great genealogical library.
What city are you in?
May I suggest...
1. Go to a library and look at a heavy
book called Cyndi's List, it has 40,000
refs.
2. Go online to my library and search for
your needs,

This "Mid-Continent Library" is excellent and
it does loan books and films, via your local
library.
Let me know what you think and how I can
be of help.
