there is a book christian heintz - a recollection of washington dc. by john claggett proctor. beleive him to be a brother to my 4 great grandfather. do not have any further record of him my 6 great grand father was johannes heintz of dillenberg prussia; his son johannes heintz, then his son rudolph changed names to hines after coming to america in the 1700s. the heintz/hines name were well known in revolutionary circles. they moved to frederick co maryland then on to ohio. there is a lot of info in ohio - john claggett proctor also wrote a book on the descendants of johannes heintz. try the hines family forum. lots of info there.
