Thanks for the info. I was aware that there were Heintz/Hines in the area but could never connect them. I am positive that my great grandfather came over from Alsace France in 1864 when he was 4 years old. I recently found a naturalization paper for Jacob Heinz declaring his intention on July 29, 1864 in Tusc. Co. However, I think they had to be residing in the US for at least 5 years before delaring. OH, well, will keep looking. I am also positive that he had brothers in Peoria as I have a picture postcard with them on it. My Henry also did not live near the others in Tuscarawas county and was associated with the Zoarites, as he married Bertha Breil, a Zoarite in Ohio, but believe they met in Buffalo as the Zoarites traveled to Buffalo a lot. Thanks!
