Claudio,
I was wondering when your family immigrated to Brazil and what part of Germany did they come from and what year? Also could you give names to those who immigrated?
I have also been interested in the HELFENSTEIN family in Pennsylvania. They were from the Palatinate and belonged to the German Reformed Church.
The town of HELFENSTEIN in PA., I believe was named after a Judge, named William L. HELFENSTEIN who had started the coal mining business there.
It would be great to be able to put all our HELFENSTEINs together and find out what really happened to us in Germany and where we have all traveled to!
My grandfather Henry Helffenstein implied we were from Prussia. His father had been in the military for a very long time and he also owned a tobacco shop.
I'm Darleen, a wife and grandmother of seven, who is doing genealogy research with my daughter Darla, she is a wife and mother who is a home teacher. We all live together in a large family home and love it!
Distant Cousins,
Darleen & Darla
