no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.
Yeah, we finally have a Hellums site. Would like to hear from all those William Hellums descendants out there as well as from anyone who may have information about ancestors. My William was born in SC according to the 1850 Pontotoc Co., MS census. His wife was Letty and he had children born in TN were Jonathan 1809; Frances 1807, md. John Purdon; Elizabeth 1811, md, Isaac Lollar; John H. 1814, md. Editha Murphree. Children born in AL were Hannah 1816, md. Hiram Rhea; Ann 1818, md. James M. York; Mary 1820, md. Newton Carr; Louis Jackson, abt 1823; Robert Carroll abt 1825; Wilson (Dock) abt 1827; Letty J., abt 1834, md. Benjamin F. Douglass. The last seven were born in AL. William moved his family from Walker Co., AL, to Pontotoc Co., MS, area around 1835. Jonathan, Elizabeth and Hannah, along with their families, soon moved to AR.
