Was given a clipping about Earl and Mearl Mellums moving
from Corinth, MS to Memphis, TN to open the Hellums Bros.
Leadway Grocery at 938 South Cooper. They also opened the
Hellums Restaurant at 936 South Cooper and claimed to have
been the first ones to install a TV in a Memphis restaurant.
My ggrandmother was Martha Adaline Hellums before marring
my ggrandfather, James Andrew McAnally. Since this clipping was with my Aunt's things, I assume Earl and Mearl
were possible brothers of Martha's.
