Jane Hellum is my 3g grandmother. She marries Rowley D. McBride 17 Jun 1836 in Wayne County Ohio. I don't know who her parents are. I also don't know who Rowley's parents are. Jane was born in PA about 1817 according to all census records. Rowley was also born PA about 1809. Rowley's given name might be Roland. I am not sure of Jane's maiden name. The marriage record specifically spells it Hellum. After Jane and Rowley are married they go to Muskingum County OH where their children (Sarah, Robert, John, Miller & Frank) are born. They are on the 1840 Census for that county in Adamsville TWP. In 1850, they are in Gilead, Morrow Co, OH. Rowley is a carpenter - a trade he probably learned from his father. I am hoping someone has a connection that will help me get over this brick wall. Thanks!
