Bertha Brockman Owen did work on Mary Hellums and Grief Johnson ca 1935? I believe that a copy of her manuscript is in the LDS/Family History collection in Salt Lake--there may also be a copy in DAR Library in Washington DC; Mary and Gried Johnson moved from Madison Co AL (where William d ca 1815/6--left will) through Yalobusha Co MS then into AR. Research has documented this William and Mary Box Hellums in SC/Knox Co TN/AL as well as William Hellums (c1780-1855Pontotoc Co MS) and Letitia (unknown maiden name). Have not discovered a link/relationship of these two Williams.
